Remember that your feature image size will not be the same as old one, but you can rebuild it using Regenerate Thumbnails plugin. Last but not least is to check the settings of your new theme within the WordPress dashboard so that you can apply it in the live site.
Step 7: Activate The New Theme On The Live Site:-
If you’re satisfied with the performance of your test site, then you should activate the new theme on the live site.
Remember to import or change any setting you have made on the test site and Use the WP Maintenance Mode plugin to let your users know that your site is down for upgradation purpose.
Once you’ve made the changes, you should deactivate this plugin.
Step 8: Post About Your Redesign:-
You can let your users know about your website redesign through RSS feed OR you can make a press release for that. Don’t forget to include the screenshots of your website OR you can also make a video for that.
