Client Overview The customer is a Canadian construction and design firm that struggled with inefficiencies in HR-related affairs and low employee engagement. The existing system lacked proper mechanisms for accessing HR records and managing employee data. As a result, the client sought an employee portal to streamline processes and foster a sense of community among employees.
Project Objective The primary goal was to develop an HR-centric employee portal leveraging SharePoint and React.js technologies. The solution aimed to improve employee collaboration with HR, enhance document storage and search efficiency, and provide a user-friendly interface to increase employee engagement.

This page has been designed so that anyone can instantly locate some pretty straightforward information about HR without having to view much: payroll data, recruitment data, an employee handbook and insurance forms.
A staff directory was also included, where employees could look up colleagues by name, job title, manager, date of hire, and available time. Each employee's profile included skills, education, contact information, and a list of past.
The corporate life page was supposed to help create community through the birthday and work anniversary boards, discount club section, and classifieds. Company holidays and the business events calendar also seemed to enable the interaction and involvement of employees outside of job activities.
The client gained a comprehensive employee portal fully operational to meet HR and social engagement requirements. Key outcomes included HR process simplification, where employees could easily access essential HR details, from pay and insurance to corporate policies and recruitment updates. The staff directory function helped employees search for colleagues based on filters like job title and hire date, promoting a more connected work environment.
