Empowered 100K+ Users with Seamless Digital Library Access
Our client wanted a high-speed desktop eLibrary with a mix of convenience and ease of access. Their main goal was to simplify and streamline the user experience through remote file access and faster downloads without restricting the search functionality.
What We Did
The platform had to be secure for the users and content providers as well. So a custom software development approach was the need of the hour.

How has this project changed their lives?
In this digital age where content creation is going through the roof, secure and flexible access is the key to transforming the user experience and get their loyalty. The project does the same with its custom software app.

💡 Did you know?
The world’s first digital library, Project Gutenberg, was launched in 1971 and since then, digital libraries have grown to serve millions of users worldwide.
The client had a huge library of e-books but their core problem was managing it. Their digital infrastructure was weak, unsecured and couldn’t provide a high-end user experience. It led to client dissatisfaction and low engagement. Here’s a snapshot of the challenges they faced.
Readers couldn’t store their books in one app or platform. It further led to confusion and frustration and eventually they stopped using the library.
To protect the interests of authors, digital rights management was implemented; but it restricted users from reading their purchased books and stopped them from accessing them freely.
Many users wanted to read the books on the go; but the library didn’t support the same and hence caused inconvenience to the readers.
Another thorn in the side was the ebook library didn’t categorize the books properly. It further caused frustration among the users and they couldn’t search the required titles among the vast ocean of books.
This led to a never ending struggle to find the books and ultimately led to decreased user engagement and satisfaction.
Users experienced lag or slow loading times during peak usage hours, impacting reading continuity and creating frustration when accessing high-volume or image-heavy content.
The previous system was restricted to specific devices and OS versions, preventing many users from accessing the library across various desktops and personal environments.
The platform lacked intelligent features such as user history, bookmarks, or recommendations, resulting in low engagement and missed opportunities for personalized content delivery.
To tackle all these issues eSparkBiz was contacted for custom software development. With our dedicated development team and 15+ years of core experience we created an app that solved all their problems in one go.
We created a platform where they could store all the books in one place. This led to easy user access and convenience; thereby saving their precious time.
Improved DRM: We implemented a secure DRM that didn’t compromise on user privacy and didn’t restrict the access.
We implemented Azure with intelligent caching policies to enable high-speed global content delivery, minimizing load times and ensuring stable sessions during peak traffic periods.
An Azure-powered eBook reader system delivering offline access, secure data, alerts, and engagement via integrated cloud services:
We added another feature where users could download the ebooks without the internet. This increased user satisfaction and was very convenient for those who read on the go.
We added a feature where users could search the books by title. It saved their time and strengthened the company’s user engagement.
We revamped the UI/UX design to resolve the interface issues and provide better user experience.
This architectural diagram outlines a scalable digital library workflow integrating UI, DRM services, and Azure-based cloud infrastructure for secure and seamless content delivery:
We added user-centric features like personalized book suggestions, bookmarks, and reading history to improve engagement and make it easier for users to pick up where they left off.
The new library system was designed using .NET with responsive components, enabling seamless functionality across various desktop environments and ensuring a consistent experience for all users.
Our app completely transformed the e-book library and provided easy access with a user-friendly interface. A/B testing was done with 10,000 users and the results were the same- increased user satisfaction and engagement. The project met the client’s goals and we got another project to boast about.
