Magento Webstore for a Floral Business Reduced Inventory Errors by 80%
Our Magento 2 webstore is designed to support a floral business and can be scaled to support more market and more volume of sales. The UX design was engaging, real-time inventory tracking and payment security, all in a design that was graphically rich and brand aligned.
We applied the best of SEO, content optimization and marketing software to achieve discoverability and sales conversions. Business owners can have hassle free experience across all devices with responsive design. It can tap into customers locally or globally in a better way with better customer relationships.
This diagram illustrates a Magento-based floral eCommerce data flow, integrating catalog, checkout, inventory, payments, analytics, and notifications for seamless customer transactions:
What We Did
💡Did You Know?
GITNUX states that customer engagement is increased by about 40 percent through AI-based chatbots in e-commerce floral websites and user-friendly interfaces of websites, ensuring that conversions are 20-30 percent more.
A well-established floral business does well locally but can’t scale up because of no online presence. This is one of the things that hinders growth, regardless of the quality of products and minimal digital access and manual operations.
The design was rich in colors and the default theme in Magento caused page layout issues in the sites. This meant that the most critical part of the process was to maintain frontend conflict and not lose branding consistency, so the code had to be debugged line by line and the CSS had to be refactored across responsive breakpoints.
During integration Stripe and PayPal APIs were found to be throwing non standard errors because they were in sandbox mode. This hindered transaction testing, with custom logging and fallback protocols to ensure real scenario of uninterrupted order traversal.
Inventory was not updating in real time and would timeout on the server especially when loading large volumes. Asynchronous processing (jobs hosted in queues, database indexing) was forced upon the developers to make the results valid in high traffic or large catalog scenarios.
Desktop experience was great on the site but on mobile the site had overlapping elements and broken grids during mobile testing. To fix this the team redesigned several templates based on the concept of mobility itself and empowered them to fix the issues in smaller devices without however compromising the desktop functionality.
Out of the box Magento configurations produced multiple meta titles and meta descriptions for product variations. This gave an advisory to the search engines and the SEO team had to dynamically create metadata and canonical URLs to get a clean indexable page.
High resolution floral images were required so they would look pretty and they soon affected the page load times. Low performance especially on mobile and low bandwidth scenarios had a series of great effects on the user resulting to poor user experience and high bounce rate on key product pages.
The admin panel was putting unnecessary burden to the non-technical personnel who used to run the day-to-day business like taking orders, inventory and customer related concerns. Manual workarounds caused by lack of automation resulted to slow response and operationally inefficient departments.
To address the technical and operational issues in the project we implemented custom software development approach that are focused on performance, user experience and backend stability. Every fix was made in a way that each patch contradicts the Magento architecture and hence provided long term scalability vs customer satisfaction and business performance.
We made the theme modular using the layout XML system in Magento and edited conflicting styles. Reusable components and media queries were added to achieve branding consistency and layout responsiveness to any device without touching the Magento core functionality.
We also implemented good error handling and allowed us to have sandbox logging and staged testing with live credentials to process transactions. Auto-retry logic and fallback messaging/strategy was put in place to eliminate payment failure and cart abandonment.
The Magento floral webstore integrates secure payment gateways like Stripe and Razorpay, enabling seamless checkout, efficient transactions, and improved customer trust:
To eliminate the timeout errors we incorporated a background job queue (with retry and asynchronous product syncing) in our solution. Inventory was accurate and database tunings, indexing and server-side caching was used to make it true even in cases of large imports or high traffic.
We also automated the implementation of dynamic meta tags on product variants and canonical URLs so we won’t receive duplicate content. Magento back end was adapted with SEO templates so we can use unique and optimized metadata on all product and category pages.
The web facade was redesigned to be mobile-first and driven by a framework of flexible grid layouts and components that were touch friendly. Breakpoints were checked to be consistent with layout, type and interaction of any template on phones, tablets and desktops.
The AWS-powered Magento floral webstore architecture showcasing core services, integrations, monitoring tools, and business outcomes like improved engagement, purchases, and market reach:
We used lazy loading of relative images that are off screen and Magento friendly, reasonably after image quality tools. It also reduced load times globally due to CDN compatibility and gave an advantage to experience high page speeds, strong SEO grades and user experience without friction even on low speed.
The client was able to run the floral business internationally with the newly developed webstore. With a simplified interface, faster load times and uninterrupted mobile system customers had smooth shopping experience. This led to international orders and higher customer interaction with the brand through secure checkouts, easy to use interface and product presentation.
The diagram showcases Magento floral eCommerce platform achieving inventory error reduction and secure payment integration through streamlined backend, analytics and order management:
Inventory automation by eSparkBiz reduced manual supervision, eliminated overselling and increased accuracy on inventory. SEO features were integrated, resulting to higher organic visibility and rankings, thus steady traffic. And with this the client can now have a scalable software architecture and marketing down the line. Client can now seamlessly handle increased demand during peak seasons and even enter new customer groups and markets.
